August 6th marks the 79 years since an atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima. At 8:16 in the morning, approximately 70-thousand people died simultaneously and another 70-thousand would perish in the following months. But, that wasn't the only fallout from the world's nuclear activities. The documentary film "Silent Fallout" from accredited Japanese director Hideaki reveals the untold stories of the victims of nuclear testing in America and the account of one mother who risked her career to expose the dangers of radiation poisoning. The goal of any animal rescue organization is to help their charges return to the happy, healthy individuals that nature intended them to be. It's a mission that the volunteers at SAFE Horse Rescue in Redmond have successfully completed more than 300 times over the past couple of decades. So, when they took Autumn off the trailer, they had no idea they would wind up with a life-or-death dilemma like they had never faced before. Now, Autumn is on another trailer.  She's on her way to meet a new herd, where she'll get to live out the rest of her life as far away from people as she can get.

For many multilingual communities, children learn English alongside the native dialect. So, asking what their "first language" is doesn't really make sense. For decades, missionaries have used the term "Heart Language" to refer to these native dialects because they can better speak to the individuals lived experience.
